  1. HomePNA.org - is the high-speed, networking (LAN) technology that uses the existing phone wires in your home to share a single Internet connection with other personal computers (PC's) in your home. Check-out their "extensive diagrams on how HomePNA can be used".
  2. ISBN.org - is a unique machine-readable identification number that has been used for 30+ years (internationally), which marks any book unmistakably. Also visit the "Book Industry Study Group".
  3. FreeStanley.com - this resource is about keeping the Stanley Cup Ice Hockey Championship challenge alive for 2005! The Hockey Hall of Fame has received more than 400 letters calling on the Trustees to award the Cup.
  4. Healthopedia.com - a searchable medical and health consumer information resource containing comprehensive information on 1,500+ health topics and 11,000+ drugs and medications.
  5. CollegeData.com - a resource to help find and apply for colleges and secondary education. Also visit "EdRef", another searchable college directory for information on thousands of US colleges.
  6. IncomeTaxFAQs - a resource to assist you with the many different Federal Individual Income Tax Forms. Also visit the "Legal-Database resource on Tax Laws". [Did you know: 130 million Federal individual income tax returns were filed with one of the three prescribed return forms in 2004].
  7. Legal-Database.com - well organized directory of legal terms that offers assistance in understanding and dealing with legal issues. And here is there section on "Law Schools".
  8. Bloglines.com - a [Free] well organized resource and service for searching, subscribing, publishing and sharing news feeds, [Web] blogs, and rich Web content.
  9. Crit.org - a well-organized personal security related resource that covers issues such as Spam, computer viruses, Phishing scams, spyware and more.
  10. BugGuide.net - a searchable well organized resource for identifiying (including images) insects, spiders & related bugs.
  11. FDisk.com - at resource to give you assistance with using the Windows/DOS (Disk Operating System) utiliy called "fdisk".

  13. (*)Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware ([XP] Beta) - here is the link to download Microsoft's new AntiSpyware software; it is well worth checking out.
  14. (*)2 books on Google - "Google Hacks" and the new "Google Pocket Guide". Also visit Peter's new "Book Page".
  15. (***)Here is the "E-mail Anti-SPAM Encoder by Hiveware" to use if you post your email address to Web pages.
  16. (***)Here is the way to "eliminate the Windows Logon Screen". Remember to be careful when editing any system files; make sure you review the numerous resources I've posted about the Windows Registry that can be found on my "Tips" and "Techlinks" pages. And if you need access to your Windows system [like you forgot your administrative password] and are having trouble - then the "EBCD Utility [Free]" may be able to help.

(***)US-CERT warns against using Internet Explorer - issued 6-29-2004 - U.S. government's Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) is warning Web surfers to stop using Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) browser. If you are concerned an alternative may be Mozilla's next generation Web browser called "FireFox" and visit the "InfoStar Virus Info Center" Web page and look for Web browsers.
  18. (***)List of fixes included in Windows XP Service Pack 2 [SP 2] - access Microsoft's information on what they have tried to fix in Windows XP. Here's an article on the fact that a "SP 2 exploit has already been found".
  19. SpywareWarrior.com - a resource that focuses on helping you rid your system of spyware and adware. Includes a forum, blog and anti-spware testing results. Make sure you check out their "list of anti-spyware products".
  20. CastleCops.com - a Web resource that focuses on security issues including anti-virus software and more; also includes a forum.
  21. Domania.com - a resource for home buyers and sellers. Also check-out MSN's "House and Home", "ZipRealty", and "HouseValues".
  22. PortDetective.com - performs a remote port scan on your IP address (this is your online access point); also visit the "InfoStar Virus Info Center" and look for Port Scanners for other resources to scan your system.
  23. SportsBlogs.org - access point to all kinds of sports weblogs. Also check-out the "Most Valuable Network".
  24. MomsView.com - a coupon site worth checking out. Also visit "DealsDujour".
  25. CADRegister.com - source for millions of component drawings that is used by design professionals, engineers, and architects.
  26. eCoustics.com - resource for consumer electronics product reviews, buying guides, and more. Also check-out "HomeTheaterForum".
  27. WindowsMarketplace.com - a well-organized resource for software and hardware that works with Microsoft Windows.
  28. eBayLiveAuctions.com - experience online real-time auctions that conclude within seconds or a minute or two.
  29. CoolAntarctica.com - great resource about Antarctica - info about cruises, facts, history and more.
