  1. Speedtest.net - speed test for your Internet connection - tests both your upload and download to see if you are getting what you are paying for.
  2. FixitClub.com - instructions and tips on troubleshooting and repairing or recycling household things that break.
  3. Liquidation.com - online marketplace where buyers can source commercial surplus inventory and government surplus assets. Also check out "Alibaba" which is a global trading portal for suppliers, manufacturers, importers and exporters.
  4. TataNano.com - the new Tata Motors "Nano" that has a starting price of $2500. Web site includes detailed info plus a 360-degree view.
  5. FDA.gov - the official homepage for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Here's an example of the useful info that they can provide - "Losing Weight: Start By Counting Calories".
  6. WorldViewOfGlobalWarming.org - photographic documentation of global climate change. [The polar bear was officially listed as threatened under the U.S. endangered species act (ESA) on May 14, 2008. This the first creature brought under the act's protection for habitat loss that is linked to global warming. Read me about this ... at the Web site!]
  7. BusinessWeek.com - great online "ezine" that covers a wide variety of business topics - investing, company research, techn ology, business schools and much more. Here's an example of an interesting article about "Safeguard Your Retirement in Hard Times".
  8. ProtectKids.com - their mission is to make the Internet safer for children and families. Well organized Web site - here is their "site map".
  9. MarketingCharts.com - access to free data and get help keeping tabs on a broad set of metrics in the marketing, advertising and publishing world.
  10. ManagementHelp.org - access to a well organized "free" management library to assist you with leadership and management of yourself, other individuals, as well as groups in large or small [for-profit or non-profit] organizations or companies.
  11. Windows Vista SP1 - Microsoft's first release [released March 18, 2008] of a Service Pack for their Operating System's (OS) program fixes. If you know someone who has had a problem with Vista system restarts then visit this "Microsoft Tech Page [#949358]" for help - this is prior to Vista SP1 being released.
  12. Windows XP Service Pack 3 - this is Microsoft's Web page to download their latest patches [SP3] to Windows XP.

  16. Alibaba.com - a global trading portal for suppliers, manufacturers, importers and exporters. This Web site clearly demonstrates the far reaches of our global economy.
  17. On-The-Matrix.com - 4950+ photographs of some of the most interesting places on our planet. Use their link you can access here to: "Search their Database of Photographs". Also visit" "VirtualTourist" and "GettyImages".
  18. GovTrack.us - GovTrack tracks the United States Congress. Do things like follow the status of federal legislation or learn about your members of Congress, information on all bills and votes going back over a decade, and more. Also visit: "SunlightFoundation".
  19. AVMA.org [official American Veterinary Medical Association Web site] - well-organized, searchable resource that has news, animal and public health information and more. Also visit: "PetEducation".
  20. UrbanSurvival.com - daily analysis on today's breaking business news and economic reports. Also visit their other Web site: "IndependenceJournal".
  21. OrganicGardening.com - well-organized and informative how to do "organic gardening" resource; access their "forums/online-discussions", "Growing A to Z", and their "Growing Technique Articles".
