  1. WisconsinVote.org - is an online resource presented by Wisconsin Public Television (WPT.org) and Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR.org) and is updated during election season.
  2. LogMeIn.com - remote support and access to PC's, Apple Macs, and Smartphones over the Internet with a Web interface. Also visit the popular "GoToMyPc.com".
  3. Kayak.com - search 140+ travel sites at once and find the lowest priced fares. In December of 2007, Kayak "raised enough money ($200 million) to buy SideStep.com".
  4. TheFourthPeriod.com - NHL trade rumors, trades, news and more.
  5. WindowsBBS.com - a free Windows support resource with forum discussions covering a wide variety of Windows Operating System and software.
  6. ISPCompared.com - provides a quick and easy way to compare the rates, features, and promotions of standard dial-up, high speed dial-up, and broadband Internet service. In addition, users have access to FAQ’s, user reviews, ratings, free unlimited Internet speed testing, real-time broadband quotes and geo-service lookup. Also visit "TheList".
  7. 360FinancialLiteracy.org - a Web resource dedicated to helping you understand all aspects of financial planning - covering topics such as home ownership, retirement & estate planning, college and much more.
  8. WeekendGardener.net - a well organized gardening resource with access to a wealth of information.
  9. GoogleEarthHacks.com - [Google Earth is a free product made available by Google that lets you view the entire earth in 3D, but has enough detail that you can zoom in and view your own house!] another way to enjoy this neat application to browse around our planet.
  10. AppScout.com - [AppScout is brought to you by the editors and analysts of PC Magazine] Always trying to find the best software - killer apps and Web sites.
  11. Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate - this is Microsoft's Web page to download their next patch to Windows XP. It is a 336+MB file! CAUTION: In Microsoft's own words ----> "This pre-release software is provided for testing purposes only. Microsoft does not recommend installing this software on primary or mission critical systems. Microsoft recommends that you have a backup of your data prior to installing any pre-release software."

  13. ConceptCarz.com - an excellent resource [complete with specs and photos] about automobiles - from concept to production; great for researching "almost any vehicle [their manufacturer's list]" you can think of.
  14. TaxAlmanac.org - free online tax research resource and community for tax professionals. Remember to check-out the real source of the what and why ---> "IRS.gov"
  15. WeatherBonk.com - real-time weather, Webcams, forecasts, and more utilizing Google's Maps. Also check-out their other Web resources called: "SkiBonk", "GolfBonk" and "CampBonk". For Weather data you might also find "WeatherStreet" useful.
  16. SilverLight.net - [Microsoft beta - Silverlight browser plug-in freely available for all supported platforms and browsers.] Microsoft Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of Microsoft .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Install SilverLight and then visit their "showcase" of 127 applications from 35 countries.
  17. Blackle.com - a search engine that is powered by Google Custom Search; their "black" screen is a friendly reminder that we all need to try and do our part to save energy.
  18. Flashcomguru.com - a resource dedicated to Adobe Flash Media Server (formerly Macromedia Flash).
  19. SnowTracks.com - a snowmobile trail and travel guide for snowmobiling the U.S. & Canada.
  20. TheMovieInsider.com - movie reviews & previews, industry related news, rumors, celebrity interviews and more.
  21. ChillingEffects.org - A joint project of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Harvard Univ., Stanford Univ., Univ. of Berkeley, Univ. of San Francisco, Univ. of Maine, George Washington Univ. School of Law, and Santa Clara Univ. School of Law clinics; Chilling Effects aims to help you understand the protections that the First Amendment and intellectual property laws give to your online activities. "Do you know your online rights? Have you received a letter asking you to remove information from a Web site or to stop engaging in an activity? Are you concerned about liability for information that someone else posted to your online forum? If so, this site is for you."
  22. RetirementJobs.com - a resource dedicated to those over 50 and looking for a job. Also of interest is "CivicVentures.com" - a think tank and an incubator, generating ideas and inventing programs to help society achieve the greatest return on experience.
  23. Lynda.com- world's largest Adobe software products video training provider [375 online courses with 26,023 video tutorials]. Checkout their free access "FREE access to 3,250+ movie tutorials" across more than 375 training titles (270+ hours of online video content)
  24. Adobe InDesign CS3 One-on-One - an excellent book about CS3 InDesign software plus it includes a DVD with training videos; I highly recommend it.
